The Arctic Glacier

Our alebrijes come from the Arctic Glacier ecosystem. Some interesting facts about our ecosystem is that at least one day of the year there is one entire day of darkness, and temperatures such as -70 Celcius have been recorded. We have learned that killer whales sleep with just one half of their brain at a time. They need to remain semi-awake all the time, so they can surface to breathe. With the mother and child killer whale, we demonstrate how killer whales are matrilineal. The female whale and her offspring will stay together for life.
